Polygraph test for Kolkata rape case accused Sanjoy Roy postponed due to ‘technical issues’

NEW DELHI: Polygraph test of Sanjoy Roy, the main accused in the alleged rape and murder of a postgraduate trainee at a hospital in Kolkata, will be held tomorrow.

A senior CBI official said the test could not be held today due to some technical reason and lack of arrangements done by jail administration. While polygraph tests of all others, including former RG Kar Medical College principal Sandip Ghosh is underway at CBI office in Kolkata.

“Team will visit the jail tomorrow for the polygraph test, and clear instructions have been given to jail administration for preparation related to polygraph test,” the official added.

A team of experts from CFSL Delhi has reached Kolkata for polygraph test. Test will be conducted on former R.G. Kar Medical College principal Sandip Ghosh, Sanjoy Roy, the main accused; four doctors and one volunteer in in connection with the alleged rape and murder of a postgraduate trainee at the hospital.

Test of main accused will be held in Jail while others have been called to CBI office in Kolkata. (ANI)
