RAICHUR : The police have intensified the investigation into social media personality Sonu Srinivas Gowda’s illegal child adoption case and she may be in for even tougher times.

The police conducted a spot inspection at Kachapur in Maski taluk of Raichur, visited the child’s house, and gathered more information. The Byadaralli police in Bengaluru took Sonu Gowda to Raichur district as part of the investigation.

In the meantime, the child’s uncle, speaking about Sonu Gowda, told Public TV, “We did not give the child for adoption, she has not helped us financially. We have been seeing Sonu for a long time and we knew her very well. She also liked my brother’s daughter since childhood. Sonu used to show affection towards the child and she too had a good bonding with Sonu”.

“Sonu promised that she would help our daughter get education. She said she would take good care of her and took her away. But now she is claiming that she had adopted the child; it was not right to say so. We sent the child, not for money or anything, but since she promised to educate her. She gave us nothing”, he claimed.
