BENGALURU: The investigation into the rape case filed against Sandalwood actor Sheshagiri Basavaraju has concluded with the police submitting a B-report to the court.
According to the complaint, the actor allegedly befriended a woman in 2014, and their relationship turned intimate before he supposedly gave her intoxicating pills and raped her, followed by threats with video photographs.
However, the police investigation revealed that there was no physical contact during the victim’s medical examination, and there was no witnesses to support the allegations.
The police believe the case might be related to financial transactions between the two parties, resulting in the submission of the B-report due to insufficient evidence.
