Police, locals find body of man who commited suicide at Nandi Hills

CHIKKABALLAPUR: The police and locals found the body of a man who had committed suicide at Nandi Hills, on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Arun (22), a resident of Ambarahalli village in Maddur taluk in Mandya district. He was working as a pharmacist at a private hospital in Bengaluru.

On Saturday, Arun parked his KTM Duke bike in the parking lot, kept his helmet in the locker room and went to the top of Nandi Hills, but did not return. Getting suspicious, the locker room attendant informed the police after three days of waiting for him to come back and collect his helmet.

Arun committed suicide on Saturday at Nandi Hills.

When the police checked the CCTV footage, they found Arun depositing the helmet at the locker room counter, but there was no video of him returning to the counter. The Nandhigiridhama police found the bag of the Arun near Tipu Drop point and found a death note in it. The exact reason is not yet known.

In the death note, he mentioned that he was disappointed with the political system and expressed the view that citizens should support principles like those of actor Upendra’s party.
