Police arrest woman for using children to sell ganja in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: The city police have arrested a woman who was using her children to sell Ganja on Tuesday. The accused has been identified as Nagma.

Six months ago, the JJ Nagar police had arrested her husband who was into peddling ganja. Nagma knew about her husband’s ganja trade and continued it. She bought ganja from Visakhapatnam and sold it for double the price in the city. After getting information about Nagma’s ganja business, the police kept an eye on her.
Kalasipalya police arrested Nagma and seized 26 kg of ganja worth Rs 13 lakh.
Nagma was using her children to smuggle ganja from Visakhapatnam to escape from the police. Normally, the police do not check children’s bags on the train. She would go there with her family and stay for a day and return. Similarly, On March 20, she smuggled ganja from Visakhapatnam and upon receiving information, the police saw her standing at the Kalasipalya circle.
The Kalasipalya police arrested her and seized 26 kg of ganja worth Rs 13 lakh from her. Presently, the husband and wife are in jail while the children are with their grandmother.
