BENGALURU: A pedestrian died on the spot after being knocked down by a speeding car on HAL Road late on Friday night. The victim Jayapal (60), succumbed to the injuries. The car driver, who had fled the scene, has been apprehended.
The body has been sent to a local hospital for post-mortem examination. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the JB Nagar traffic police station. A case has been registered against the car driver, and further investigation is under way.
