The parents staged a protest at night in front of the police station.

CHIKKABALLAPUR: The parents of a schoolboy, who lost his eyesight after being assaulted by a teacher, sat on protest overnight in front of the Batlahalli police station on Sunday. The parents Nataraj and Anjali, who were protesting along with their son, demanded that an FIR be lodged against the teacher.

Former legislator J K Krishna Reddy, who joined the parents in their protest on Monday, vented his anger at the police. Following the protest, a complaint was registered against the school teacher Saraswathi.

Saraswathi is a teacher at the government school at Yagavakote in Chintamani taluk. She had alleged assaulted Yashwanth, leading him to lose his eyesight.
