Prasanna B Varale, the new Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court, being administered oath of office by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot at the Glass House at Raj Bhavan on Saturday.

BENGALURU: Justice Prasanna Balachandra Varale on Saturday took oath as the new Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and others were present on the occasion.

Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot administered the oath of office to Justice P B Varale at a simple ceremony organised at the Glass House at Raj Bhavan.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, his cabinet colleague Govind Karjol, state Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma, judges of the high court and their family members, and other senior officials were present.
