BENGALURU: One child died on the spot while another child seriously injured after an iron gate fell on the children who were playing, at Dwarkanagar in Chikkabanavara, Bengaluru North taluk.
While Gausiya (5) died on the spot, Sumaya (3) sustained serious injuries. Gausiya was the daughters of couple Imam and Rameeza. Sumaya, who is the daughter of Imam’s sister Shakila, is being treated in hospital.
The rented house belongs to Ravishankar. The couple had moved into the rented house just five months ago. The couple earned a living by selling fruits near the bus stand.
The parents in grief after losing their child. The body has been sent to Victoria Hospital for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered at Chikkabanavara police station.
