One arrested for forest fire, another absconding

CHAMARAJANAGAR: The Forest Department staff arrested a person for deliberately setting fire to a forest in Bandipur. The accused has been identified as Arun.

He, along with another person, had set fire in Maddur area of Badipur to divert the attention of the forest staff while they transported illegally felled trees from the forest. The forest department staff are now on the lookout for the other accused, Kumar.
