On Ugadi day, Hombale Films announces that writing for Kantara prequel has begun

BENGALURU: The prequel to the blockbuster Kannada movie, ‘Kantara’ which was announced by actor-director Rishab Shetty earlier, is in the works with production house Hombale Films announcing on Wednesday that the script writing for the movie has begun.

“On this auspicious occasion of Ugadi & New Year, we are delighted to announce that the writing for the second part of #Kantara has begun. We can’t wait to bring you another captivating story that showcases our relationship with nature. Stay tuned for more updates”, Hombale Films announced on their Instagram handle.

‘Kantara’, written and directed by Rishab Shetty, who also played the lead role was one of the biggest blockbusters and broke numerous records. It was also released in other languages post the Kannada release. The Kannada movie was recently screened at the United Nations office in Geneva, Switzerland, which was attended by Rishab Shetty.
