CHITRADURGA: Following allegations of corruption in appointments to the medical college and hospital here, the director of the institute, Dr Yuvaraj, has been issued a notice by Regional Commissioner Amlan Aditya Biswas seeking a reply.
The office of the regional commissioner in Bengaluru had received several complaints of corruption in appointments to the medical college. Of the 58 posts available, 36 have been filled and a provisional selection list has been announced.
As per the allegations, bribes of Rs 50 lakh were taken for the post of professor, Rs 40 lakh for assistant professor and Rs 25 lakh for assistant lecturers. Following this, a notice has been issued to the institute director.
