BAGALKOT: A week after a group of villagers barged into the Adavisiddeshwara Math at Shivapura village in Mudalagi taluk, manhandled Adavisiddarama Swami and harassed a woman and her 15-year-old daughter who were staying in the math, Arabhavi MLA Balachandra Jarkiholi held a meeting with the godman at the Shoonya Sampadana Math in Gokak.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Balachandra Jarkiholi said there were some allegations against Adavisiddarama Swami and he had asked the police and the intelligence department to conduct and investigation.

The godman shielding the womand and her daughter from the mob.

“Based on their report, we held the meeting. As per the findings, the allegations against the godman are baseless and he and the Shoonya Sampadana Math seer are hurt by the developments. If some drunk people had created a ruckus, action should be taken against them. The issue has been resolved now”, the MLA said.

A woman, who hails from Bagalkot, had come to the math and stayed overnight last Saturday along with her 15-year-old daughter. Accusing Adavisiddarama Swami of inappropriate behaviour, a group of villagers barged into the math, manhandled the godman and threatened the woman and her daughter.
