BENGALURU: The Adugodi police rescued a man who had been kidnapped and arrested one person after a chase while on patrol on Wednesday night.
Adugodi Police Inspector Manjunath and his team were on night patrol when a Honda City car crashed into a barricade on the Koramangala 100 feet road and sped away. At that time, a man shouted for help from inside the car. The police immediately gave a chase and boxed in the car near the Koramangala water tank junction after trailing the vehicle for about 3 km.
While three of the kidnappers managed to escape, one person has been arrested. The kidnapped individual has been identified as Touheed, who was kidnapped three days ago from near Bandepalya over some financial dispute. The Bandepalya police had registered a case in this regard.
