TUMAKURU: Two policemen on night patrol, who were in civil clothes, allegedly assaulted the owner of a tea stall near Call Tax Circle here on Wednesday night.
The policemen arrived at NH Cafe and thrashed the owner Shashi and employees Rajesh and Shafi for not closing business even after 11 pm. The attack was caught on CCTV cameras inside the tea stall.
The footage shows the tea stall owner and employees struggling to pull down the jammed shutters when the two policemen in civil clothes arrive on the scene. They then begin thrashing the shop owner and employees. The incident occurred in Tumakuru Town police limits.
