Nigerian nationals attack policemen in Mavallipura, arrested

BENGALURU: Eight Nigerian nationals were arrested for attacking policemen at Mavallipura under Rajanukunte police station limits at midnight on Friday.

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police had gathered information about a drug peddler, and the group of Nigerians attacked the police party when they had gone to conduct searches. The CCB police were accompanied by DISWAT, the state paramilitary force, to arrest the Nigerian nationals.

The accused broke the windshield of the police vehicle, and four policemen were injured in the incident. The accused then fled the scene, but were nabbed later. The incident occurred under Rajanukunte police limits.
