BELAGAVI: A newborn baby was found dead in a drain at Kalal Nagar in Ghataprabha on Monday morning. The baby was found wrapped in a plastic sheet and it is suspected that it may have been killed and dumped in the drain at night.
The Ghataprabha police visited the spot and have taken up further investigation. They are going through CCTV footage to identify who dumped the baby in the drain and are trying to establish the motive for the act.
