BENGALURU: The Hebbal flyover loop from KR Pura side to Mehkri Circle has been opened to traffic, aiming to ease congestion at one of the city’s busiest junctions. Now, construction of another loop ramp is progressing slowly. This new loop ramp is expected to be completed by January 2026, potentially reducing traffic congestion at Hebbal.
The loop ramp from KR Pura side was opened about two-and-a-half months ago, connecting Mehkri Circle. At that time, it was claimed that another loop ramp would be completed in a few months. Currently, construction is under way to integrate the Tumakuru Road loop with a new ramp, allowing vehicles from Esteem Mall and Tumakuru Road service roads to reach Mehkri Circle smoothly.
Once the new loop ramp is completed, it will enable vehicles from the airport service road and Tumakuru Road service road to head towards Mehkri Circle easily, reducing traffic congestion. Currently, vehicles from the Esteem Mall service road are being diverted to use the underpass.
The possibility of the construction being completed by January remains uncertain, leaving commuters wondering if it will take longer.
