The Dutch YouTuber was harassed by a vendor at Chickpet.

BENGALURU: The Cottonpet police have arrested one person for harassing a Dutch vlogger and YouTuber during the Sunday Bazaar at Chickpet on Sunday.

Pedro Mota, who hails from The Netherlands, was shooting a video at the Sunday Bazaar when he was accosted by a vendor who held him by the wrist and wanted to know what was happening.

In a video that is going viral, Pedro can be heard saying, “Please let go of my hand”. He finally manages to free himself from the vendor’s grip and moves away quickly while saying, “That guy just attacked me. The guy was holding on to my thumb and pulling it. The guy was trying to break my finger, my thumb”.

The police have arrested Nawab Hayat Sharif, the vendor.

Soon after the video went viral, several citizens tweeted it tagging the police, who took up a suo motu case and arrested Nawab Hayat Sharif, the vendor. The city police said action has been taken and the vendor rounded up. “Strict action will be taken against him. No such misbehaviour with foreign tourists will be tolerated”, the police said.
