MYSURU: A woman plotted with her minor brother to eliminate her husband, but her plan was foiled by a stroke of luck in Nanjangud town. The injured husband is now undergoing treatment in a hospital while the woman was arrested and sent to jail.

Sangeetha, a computer operator, conspired with her minor brother and two others to kill her husband Rajendra, a fibre optic cable fitter, due to marital discord.

The plan was to stage a robbery and make it look like a random attack.

On October 25, Rajendra and Sangeetha were travelling on a scooter when a white car suddenly blocked their path. The occupants of the car attacked Rajendra, stabbing him with a sharp object. However, the attackers fled when another car came by. Rajendra sustained injuries and was hospitalised.

During the police investigation, Sangeetha’s plan was exposed after Rajendra informed the police about the incident from the hospital, and she was arrested along with her accomplices. Rajendra is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mysuru.

The police investigation revealed that Sangita had been planning the murder for some time, using her brother and his friends to carry out the deed. Her actions may also impact her minor brother’s future.
