HAVERI: As many as 18 sheep and two goats were killed by an unidentified vehicle which rammed into a herd on Sunday night. The incident took place on the outskirts of Haveri city on the Poona-Bengaluru Highway-48.
It was a heart-wrenching moment for farmer Kurigayi Vasappa Sendage, the owner of the livestock. The accident occurred while he was driving the sheep and goats home at night after grazing them.
A complaint was filed with the Haveri traffic police station who visited the spot.
