Namma Metro service disrupted after tree branches fall on track

BENGALURU: There was a major disruption in the Namma Metro service on the purple line between Trinity Station and MG Road due after tree branches fell on the metro tracks due to the heavy rain in the city on Sunday evening.

Scores of Metro passengers were affected by the unexpected disturbance and delayed service. The Namma Metro authorities shared the information about the disruption in service on their X handle.

In a post on ‘X’, the BMRCL said that due to a tree branch falling on the metro tracks just after Trinity Station towards MG Road, trains were operating only between Indiranagar to Whitefield and MG Road to Challaghatta from 7.26 pm. Efforts were on to clear the branch and resume normal operations, BMRCL said.
