BENGALURU: The city’s lifeline, Namma Metro, is now planning to bamboo designs at the Bamboo Bazaar station on the purple line on the lines of Kempegowda International Airport Terminal-2.
The KIA Terminal-2 has received worldwide recognition for interior design and Namma Metro now plans to rope in the Bamboo Society of India for the same. The interior design is estimated to cost about Rs 6 crore.
Namma Metro also plans to have bamboo decorations on a 5-km stretch between the Jayadeva and the Meenakshi temple metro stations. It is planned to use the Bambusa tulda species and with this, Namma Metro plans to sport a new look.
