CHIKKABALLAPUR: An electric scooter caught fire even as it was moving, near Kannamangala Gate in Doddaballapur on Tuesday. Luckily, the rider was safe.

The e-scooter belonged to Santosh, a resident of Hadripura in Doddaballapur. An electrical short circuit in the battery is likely to have caused the fire. The incident occurred in the Doddabelavangala police limits in Bangalore Rural district.
