BENGALURU: Film director Gajendra, who was absconding for 20 years in a murder case, has been arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) police.
Gajendra, who was a disciple of Arasaiah, had been missing for two decades and had managed to evade the law despite being involved in several films in Sandalwood and Kollywood.
Gajendra was accused of killing a history sheeter, Kotharavi, in 2004, and a murder case was registered at Wilson Garden police station. He was one among the accused, Chandrappa and Aluminium Babu in murder case.
Gajendra was arrested and was in jail for a year and released on bail. After that, he did not appear before the court and was hiding from the police.
After 20 years, the CCB police have finally arrested Gajendra, who had been directing films in Sandalwood and Kollywood under different names. He had also directed a few films in Tamil, including a film titled ‘Rudr’.
