BENGALURU: A married woman and her boyfriend ended their lives by dousing themselves in petrol and setting themselves on fire at a rented apartment at Doddagubbi on Sunday afternoon.
Soumini Das, who was pursuing her second-year nursing course in the city, was married two years ago. During holidays, she would work at the nursing service agency run by Abraham and the two soon fell in love, police said.
Recently, Soumini had gone to Kolkata and returned to Bengaluru. She and Abraham took a flat on rent for a fortnight and she told him about her marriage. The two then quarrelled over this and decided to end their lives.
On Sunday afternoon, they doused themselves in petrol and set themselves on fire in the rented apartment. The Kothanur police have registered a case.
