CHIKKABALLAPUR: A motorcycle rider was washed away from a bridge connecting Kalludi and Nagareddy Layout in Gauribidanur taluk on Tuesday.
The bridge had come under water after the North Pinaki river started overflowing following Monday night’s rain. Luckily, the motorcyclist and his vehicle were stopped by rocks just a little away from the bridge.
The police and firefighters had to deploy an excavator to rescue the man and his machine.
