MADIKERI: A motorcycle rider was killed, with his body cleaved at the waist, after his two-wheeler was involved in an accident with a 10-wheeler truck near Kudlur village in Kushalnagar taluk on Thursday night.
Gangadhar, who was working on installation of electric poles, was returning to his room at Kudlur village when his motorcycle was involved in an accident with a 10-wheel truck heading towards a coffee curing works from Kudige. The truck ran over Gangadhar, cleaving his body in two parts and killing him instantly.
The victim Gangadhar was a native of Arasikere in Hassan district. The Kushalnagar traffic police have registered a case and seized the truck.
