The Marathalli police are investigating the motive behind the pro-Pakistan slogan and are getting the call data records (CDR) of the college students to check who they have been in touch with. Also, they checked for posters and documents related to pro-Pakistan slogans. The case details have been shared with the Internal Security Division (ISD) of the Karnataka Police.

The police interrogated them for three consecutive days and they were released with instructions not to leave the state until the investigation is over.

Immediately after the trio raised slogans, the other students caught them and made them raise ‘Jai Hind’ and ‘Jai Karnataka Mate’, slogans and apologise, before letting them off.

The trio had initially claimed that they had raised the slogans “for fun” and they did not have any other intentions.
