CHAMARAJANAGAR: The Male Mahadeshwara Hills Development Authority, in its bid to get rid of plastic waste, has committed another blunder by dumping heaps of plastic waste at the forest edge which can pose a danger to wildlife.

After Public TV reported about the plastic menace at MM Hills, the authority acted in haste to dispose of garbage and committed another blunder by resorting to unscientific waste disposal. The Authority dug a pit, buried the plastic waste, and covered it with soil.

More plastic waste was set on fire and disposed of unscientifically. The plastic waste was covered with mud using an excavator, causing soil pollution, and not recycling waste materials. This can wreak havoc at the forest edge, wildlife experts pointed out.
