BENGALURU: The flying squad of the Election Commission on Thursday seized a car belonging to Jayanagar Congress MLA Sowmya Reddy at the Marenahalli checkpost.
According to the police, 23 sarees and blouse pieces, 14 Samsung and Nokia phones, 150 notepads and 16 shawls were seized from the Toyota Innova Crysta MUV. The vehicle was being driven by one Ramachandra from Marenahalli towards Jayangar when it was intercepted.
Based on a complaint from a flying squad official, the Tilak Nagar police have registered a case against the car driver.
