HASSAN: Miscreants went on a drunken rampage, creating a scene, by smoking cigarettes inside a hotel and showed rowdy behavior, even though a ‘No Smoking’ board was put up. The incident occured at Halebeedu in Belur taluk.
The miscreants mercilessly assaulted the hotel owner for questioning them. The gang of youths, who came completely drunk to the Keralapura Hindu Military Hotel, in Halebeedu started smoking cigarettes inside the hotel, even though there was a board saying smoking was prohibited.
When the hotel owner objected to this, an argument broke out and turned into a fight. The fight escalated and the gang assaulted the hotel owner. Rajanna, Sunil, and Prameela are the hotel owners who were assaulted. The accused who carried out the assault are Raghu and Shekhar from Hulikere village and their friends.
Police visited the spot and inspected it. The incident occurred within the limits of Halebeedu police station. The scene of the assault was captured on CCTV.
