MANDYA: A 17-year-old girl was gangraped by three youths after luring her to a lodge in Maddur town. All the three have been arrested on Thursday and charged under the POCSO Act and the SC Atrocities (Prevention) Act.
All the three accused are from Maddur taluk. One of the youths had befriended the minor girl during the Yuva Dasara held in Mysuru recently and convinced her to enter into a relationship. On November 4, he called her to a lodge in Maddur where he and two of his friends gangraped the girl.
The youths also shot a video of the gangrape and sent it to the victim, threatening her to visit them whenever they all her. The girl then informed her parents who lodged a complaint with the police.
