BENGALURU: A miscreant slashed man’s throat at a bar and assaulted him with a knife over a trivial reason at Kammasandra Cross in Anekal Taluk on Monday night. The victim Habel Sheikh (35), a native of West Bengal, has been hospitalised where his condition is said to be critical.
Habel Sheikh was living with his family near Kammasandra and working at an under-construction building. On Monday evening, after finishing work, he went to King’s Bar & Restaurant to have a drink. At the same time, Ramesh a.k.a Psycho Gooli of Kammasandra village was drinking at the next table.

In a drunken state, Ramesh picked a fight with Habel Sheikh over a trivial reason and suddenly attacked Sheikh with a knife he had in his pocket, slitting Sheikh’s throat. The accused stabbed him and escaped from the spot.

The injured person was immediately shifted to Anekal Government Hospital and shifted to a hospital in Benglaur for further treatment. His condition is said to be critical. Police have taken the accused, Ramesh into custody and a case has been registered at Anekal police station.
