Metaverse experience at Kempegowda theme park planned: Ashwath Narayan

BENGALURU: Two days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the 108-foot-tall statue of Bengaluru founder Nadaprabhu Kempegowda, vice-chairman of the Kempegowda Heritage Area Development Authority and Minister for Higher Education Dr C N Ashwath Narayan announced that the theme park will include Metaverse experiences depicting the Bengaluru’s heritage and tech prowess.

Sharing a blueprint of the theme park, which is coming up near the Kempegowda statue, he said it will be a major attraction for tourists in the coming days.

Reacting to a Twitter suggestion to boost tourism at the ‘Statue of Prosperity’, like being done at the ‘Statue of Unity’ in Gujarat, Dr Ashwath Narayan C N tweeted, “Definitely, yes! The Govt is also constructing a theme park at the #StatueOfProsperity location that reflects Kempegowda’s idea of Bengaluru. The theme park would have tiny lakes, cultural symbols, museums, and Metaverse experiences to depict rich heritage & tech prowess”.

“This is just the beginning. The location will be developed further”, he added, while sharing a YouTube link of the blueprint.

“The theme park will be integrated with sacred soil and water that is collected from various villages of Karnataka across the 31 districts. This park in front of the huge Kempegowda statue is going to be a major attraction for all the tourists who fly from and to Bengaluru”, Dr Ashwath Narayan said.

The Kempegowda statue, named as the ‘Statue of Prosperity’, has been installed by the state government as a tribute to the founder of Bengaluru.
