KOLAR: A medical student was found dead in a stone quarry pond near Kendatti village of Kolar taluk on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Darshini (24), a native of Ballari and a student of MVJ Medical College in Hoskote taluk.
It is suspected that she allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the pond of the stone quarry.
Friends of the Darshini said that she had contacted them over phone before committing suicide. She was a student of MD Pediatrics at MVJ Medical College.
The body was been fished out by the Fire and Emergency Services personnel. The Kolar Rural police visited the spot and registered a case. The police yet be ascertain exact reason behind her taking such extreme step.
