Students indulged in mass copying during the Fitter trade exam.

DAVANAGERE: An instance of mass copying during an exam at an ITI college has come to light after videos of the incident went viral.

The incident occurred at the Government ITI at Mayakonda on August 3 and 4 during the exams for the Fitter trade where students were openly copying with chits.

A guest lecturer, Rekha, who informed about the mass copying to other people allegedly even received death threats. A complaint has been lodged at the Harihar police station in connection with the threat calls against the vice-principal of the college, Kalchar and one Siddesh.

Money also changed hands.

The ITI director has sought a report into the incident from the joint director by August 10.
