CHIKKAMAGALUR: Continuing its drive against illegal slaughter houses, the Chikkamagaluru City Municipal Council, along with the police, on Monday raided a house in Tamil Colony where cows were being slaughtered and sold.

Power supply was also disconnected

All the meat was seized and the CMC also disconnected power supply to the house. It has also cancelled all documents related to the property and is taking steps to declare it a CMC property. The house belongs to one Yash Pal.

The CMC has been undertaking a continuous drive against illegal slaughter houses over the last couple of months. Recently, it had deployed bulldozers to raze some of the illegal slaughter houses in the city.
