BENGALURU: A man who set fire to a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle parked outside a paying guest accommodation in HMT Layout has been arrested by Peenya police.
The accused has been identified as Pulkit (25). The incident occurred on September 19. Pulkit took out petrol from the bike, poured it on the motorcycle and set it ablaze by lighting a cigarette and fled. Three other bikes also caught fire.
The motorcycle owner, Deepanshu, lodged a complaint with the Peenya police, which led to Pulkit’s arrest. Pulkit admitted that he wanted to buy a Royal Enfield Bullet, but couldn’t afford it. He would get angry by the sound of someone else’s motorcycle and therefore, targeted a Bullet bike parked in front of the PG do and set fire to it.
