MANGALURU: A man was thrashed after being tied to a pole for allegedly misbehaving and stalking a minor girl at Karekadu in Mulki on December 13.
The man allegedly followed the minor girl and then misbehaved with her. Immediately, she informed her parents following which her father, along with two others, tracked the man and found him at the same place where he had allegedly misbehaved with her. Later, they tied him to a pole and beat him up. Pictures of the incident have now gone viral on social media.
Following the complaint by the parents of the minor girl, the police have arrested the man and have booked him under the POCSO Act. A case has been registered at the Mulky police station. After the interrogation, and based on his statement, the police have also registered a case against those who physically assaulted the accused.
