RAMANAGARA: A man stabbed a PU II student in the arm and shoulder, forced her into a waiting car and kidnapped her today morning. However, as she was bleeding profusely, he admitted her to a private hospital. The police arrested him within hours of the incident.
Chetan (28), a resident of Dalimba village in Kanakapura taluk, was allegedly forcing the 17-year-old victim of the same village and a student of the Government Women’s College in Ramanagara, into a relationship, but she had shunned him. She is currently residing at Rayaradoddi in Ramanagara.
Angered by her refusal, he stabbed her just outside the college premises, forced her into a hired Toyota Innova and sped away. However, he later got her admitted to the Ramakrishna Hospital in Ramanagara where she is undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit.
The Ramanagara Town police visited the college and arrested the man within a few hours of the incident.
