BENGALURU: A man died after he was stabbed several times over a financial dispute, in Banaswadi area on Tuesday night.

Shekhar (29), who was into money-lending, had loaned some money to Manoj. On Tuesday night, Shekhar asked Manoj to return the money, following which an argument ensued following which Shekhar was stabbed 3-4 times in the chest and stomach.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Bhimashankar Guled said the control room received a call around 12.30 am in the night informing that a man was lying in a pool of blood.

“The Hoysala patrol squad immediately reached there and shifted him to hospital, but Shekhar died enroute. He was stabbed to death just about 100 mts from his house when he was returning home on his motorcycle. Shekhar tried to escape the attackers, but they confronted him again and stabbed him repeatedly and fled”, he said.

The DCP further said that prima facie, it seems that two people were involved in the murder and added that the Banaswadi police are on the lookout for the attackers.
