YADGIR: A man,who was seriously injured during a fight over a property dispute and personal enmity, died after ten days at a hospital in Kalaburagi on Monday. The incident occurred in Kurihal village, Vadagera.
The deceased is Marilingappa (45).The police arrested five accused in the case, including the prime accused.
On June 8, an argument broke out between Marilingappa and the accused Basavaraja and 10 of his family members. All are from the same village.
In the melee, Marilingappa was seriously injured after being stabbed by Basavaraja and his family members. Marilingappa was rushed to the Kalaburagi hospital, where he battled for life for the last 10 days, but died on Monday without responding to treatment.
A case of attempted murder had been registered in this regard at Wadagera police station. The police are on the lookout for the remaining five absconding accused.
