TUMAKURU: A man accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl has been found guilty by a fast track special court in Tumakuru and sentended to 20 years in jail along with a fine of Rs 1.5 lakh.
The culprit Raghu had sexually assaulted a minor girl at Kodihalli in the taluk in April 2022. The parents of the girl had filed a complaint with the Tumakuru women’s police station who had registered an FIR under the POCSO Act.
The chargesheet was submitted by police inspector Naveen Kumar and the Public Prosecutor Asha argued the case on behalf of the state.
