BENGALURU: A minor boy, who was threatening a girl with a pair of scissors for money, stabbed a man in the neck when he came to her rescue. The incident occurred near Beegehalli on Bannerghatta road.
Vineeth (14), a resident of Jayanagar, had caught hold of a girl and was threatening to kill her with a pair of scissors if she did not part with money. When the girl raised an alarm, Annaiah, a resident of Beegehalli, rushed to the girl’s rescue.
The minor boy then stabbed Annaiah in the neck with the scissors. But Annaiah did not let go of the youth and rescued the girl. He later handed over the youth to the Bannerghatta police station.
In another incident, a man died after he was electrocuted while drilling a hole in a damp wall at an under- construction building at Mastenahalli in Jigani taluk. The deceased was identified as Praveen (30), who hailed from north Karnataka. The Jigani police visited the spot.
