CHIKKAMAGALUR: A man, who was believed to have been washed away in a major drain and died, was surprisingly found walking on IG Road in the town on Tuesday.
On July 12, Suresh was believed to have been washed away in the drain at Unde Dasarahalli and a massive search was launched for him by the Fire and Emergency Services in the pouring rain. However, even after several rescue attempts, Suresh could not be traced.
After 14 days, however, Suresh was found miraculously walking along IG Road. Town Municipal Council president Venugopal, who spotted him, took him to task for not informing the authorities.
While it still remains a mystery how he got out of the strong currents, the authorities are definitely relieved.
