BENGALURU: A man got opium planted in his rival’s scooter to get him arrested in Rajarajeshwarinagar. However, after his involvement was revealed, he is now absconding.
Punaram got two youths to plan opium in Chogaram’s scooter which was parked near his residence. He then informed the Central Crime Branch (CCB) through an informant following which raids were carried out on Chogaram on February 6 and the opium and scooter were seized.
The police later realised that that Chogaram had been framed, but he was jailed as part of the legal process. Footage from CCTV near Chogaram’s house revealed a twist and Poonaram’s involvement in the case.
The footage shows that two boys entered Chogaram’s house in the dead of the night and planted the opium given by Poonaram in the scooter. The police are now looking for Poonaram, who is absconding.
