Man murders estranged wife in Hennur, arrested

BENGALURU: A man killed his estranged wife by slitting her throat with a knife and also left her two-and-half-year-old child injured, in Hennur police limits. The police have arrested the accused and booked a case of murder.

Sheik Sohail and Tabsim Baby, both hailing from West Bengal, were married about 14 years ago. But, after coming to know about Tabsim’s illicit affair six years ago, Sohail took her back to Kolkata. She, however, left her husband and came back to Bengaluru to live with her lover Naeem. The couple even have a two-and-half-year-old child.

After six years, Sohail came to Bengaluru looking for Tabsim and met her on Monday evening stating that he wanted to discuss their marriage with her. During the heated argument, Sohail slit her throat with a knife and also injured her child.

The Hennur police have arrested the accused and are conducting further investigation.
