BENGALURU: A man was killed by intentionally knocking him down with an SUV in JC Nagar on October 20. The incident has come to light only now and a video shows the SUV chasing him and knocking him down in filmy style.

The deceased has been identified as Asghar.  Two persons, including one Amreen, have been arrested in connection with the case. The brutal murder was captured on CCTV on October 20 and after 11 days, the mystery behind the murder has been revealed.

Asghar was in the second-hand car business and was acquainted with Amreen. The other accused in the murder had bought the SUV from Asghar and later, a dispute arose between the two over Rs 4 lakh dues. When the issue escalated, the accused had assaulted Asghar.

Following this, Asghar lodged a complaint with the JC Nagar police station, and the accused was booked under Section 307 of IPC. Then, the accused pressured Asghar to withdraw the case and called him on the phone to talk about this. Amreen, who was with the other accused, also told Asghar to withdraw the case. But Asghar was not ready and said that he would not take back the case for any reason.

Asghar had come with his friend to meet Amreen and later went to Pottery Road to drop off his friend. At that time, Amreen intentionally hit Asgar’s bike with his Mahindra Scorpio and knocked him down on the road and fled. Asghar succumbed to serious injuries while his friend sustained serious injuries in the hands and legs.

The traffic police, who had earlier registered a case as an accident, came to know about the incident after recording the statement of Asgar’s friend. Following this, two persons, including Amreen, have been arrested.
