KALABURAGI, BAGALKOT: A man murdered his wife and her paramour and Madanahipparagala village in Aland taluk on Thursday and later surrendered to the police.
Srimanth and Shrishti (22) had got married two years ago, but Shrishti was in an illegal relationship with Khajappa (23), a bachelor.
On Thursday night, Srimath spotted Shrishti and Khajappa together and killed both with sharp weapons. He later surrendered before the police. The Madanahipparagala visited the spot and have registered a case.
In another incident, a man killed his wife by sitting on her chest and strangulating her at Mughalkod village in Mudhol taluk on Thursday night as she had reportedly not prepared curry and sambar well.
Beerappa Poojari (21) had fallen in love and got married to Sakshita (19) and both belonged to different castes. Both families had agreed to the marriage. Beerappa originally hailed fromVadgol village in Chikkodi taluk of Belagavi.
The Mudhol police visited the crime scene and arrested Beerappa. Further investigation is under way.
